2011 Annual Business Conference and Expo
“The State of Carbondale and Beyond”
On Friday, December 2nd, from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm, the Carbondale Chamber will host the 2011 Annual Business Conference. The conference will feature nationally renowned economist, R. Dan Brumbaugh, Jr. as well as a panel discussion with County Commissioner, Tom Jankovsky along with County staff. Also, meet new Town Manager, Jay Harrington. There will also be an Organization Forum featuring Carbondale nonprofits. In addition to the presentations, the business expo runs from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm and will showcase over 30 local businesses. The event concludes with a networking opportunity with beer and wine and appetizers being served. Tickets are $40 in advance and $50 the day of the event. www.carbondale.com

The Orchard will again serve as a collection point for Operation Christmas Child Shoe Box drive! Please pack shoe boxes with gifts (including small toys, personal care items such as hair brushes, hair accessories, toothbrushes as well as stickers, school supplies and hard candy) that will be distributed to children in more than 100 countries who are suffering from natural disaster, war, terrorism, disease, famine and poverty. www.theorchardlife.org
